Non-alcoholic Mint Juleps
Easy & Yummy Mint Juleps
Don't these look so beautiful and yummy?!?!? I'm not a drinker, but I love mint juleps. I believe my first mint julep was at the Oak Alley Plantation in Louisiana and I've been wanting to make them myself ever since.
This recipe uses the basics of a mint julep, but also adds lemonade to it as well (so so good).

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves (I love having fresh mint at my house)
- 2 cups crushed ice
- 1/2 cup prepared lemonade (I just used the good old Country Time Lemonade Mix)
- Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
Directions
- In a small saucepan, combine the water, sugar and 1 tablespoon of chopped mint. Stir and bring to a boil. Cook until sugar has dissolved, then remove from heat and set aside to cool. After about an hour, strain out mint leaves. (Hey, good things come to those who wait right?)
- Fill 2 cups or frozen goblets with crushed ice. Pour 1/2 of the lemonade into each glass and top with a splash of the sugar syrup. Garnish each with a mint sprig and serve on a silver platter.(Well aren't you fancy shmancy?)
Let me know how they turn out for you ok?
