Natural Wood Cleaner & Polish
My twin boys are so rough on my furniture, especially my wood coffee table. They've scratched it, chipped it, and get their Gold Fish fingers all over it on a daily basis. I wanted to buy some wood polish to clean it and spruce it up a bit, but I know traditional wood polish is full of dangerous chemicals. Since the boys touch and even climb on top of the coffee table daily, I wanted to find an all natural alternative to the store bought wood polish.
Here is a simple solution for great looking wood furniture and floors without all the harsh chemicals.
Here's the recipe:
1 gallon of hot water
3/4 cup of olive oil
1/2 cup lemon juice
Mix it up the best you can in a mop bucket and use a mop for the floors, or I used a soft rag for the coffee table.
When I first wiped the coffee table, I noticed a slight film like in the photo below:
Here's my coffee table before I cleaned and polished it (Yes, I know..ewe):

Just take a soft cloth/rag and buff the wood until it shines:
Shiny, clean, and as pretty as this tired old coffee table it going to get.
Give it a try and let me know your thoughts. :)
