The Flex Belt Review and Promo

When I was offered to review The Flex Belt I literally squealed! After the birth of my twin boys, I had to have umbilical hernia repair and since then, I haven't been able to tone and strengthen my abdominal muscles with traditional ab exercises. I also have quite a bit of Diastasis recti, which means there is a substantial separation in my abdominal wall. (Thank you pregnancy!) If I lay down, I can stick 2-3 fingers through my abdominal wall (Ewe I know!).

Usually the only fix is surgery, but since the surgery isn't "medically necessary," my insurance didn't cover it. My insurance did, however, cover my hernia repair. I am cleared to do ab strengthening exercises again, however when I lay down to do crunches, I can feel pain where my hernia was repaired. This is why The Flex Belt has me so excited!

With The Flex Belt, I am able to strengthen and tone my abdominal muscles, while sitting, or folding the laundry, applying my makeup, or while blogging...as I am doing now :)

The Flex Belt, which is FDA cleared for toning, strengthening and firming abdominal muscles, works by stimulating the nerves that make your muscles contract and relax.

Your Flex Belt comes with the belt, a wall charger to charge the unit, 3 medical grade gel pads, a belt extension for those with a waist over 44 inches, instruction manual and carrying case. I must say the unit itself and the packaging is really well made. The gel pads also last a very long time. I still have mine after almost 2 months and they still work fine.

You attach the gel pads to the belt, put the belt around your waist, turn the unit on, and slowly start increasing the intensity of the stimulation. You can also control the intensity for the right and left sides of your abdominal muscles. I really liked this feature since I was able to have a higher intensity for my right side over my left. You can increase the intensity from 1-150. There are also 10 different program settings you can choose from for each workout. I found as time went on, I was able to increase intensity and also choose harder and longer programs. This is a great feature to combat plateauing.

I used The Flex Belt almost every day for 30 days and here are my results. Please forgive my terrible lighting as I am certainly not a professional photographer! :) I didn't diet or do any other exercising. I just went about my normal routine and used The Flex Belt and this is what happened:
So as you can see, The Flex Belt definitely toned my abs. I also noticed that they were a lot stronger. An added bonus was a decrease in the separation in my abdominal wall. I was super excited about that! The company states that you will see results in a matter of 4-8 weeks. If after 60 days of use, you are not satisfied, you can take advantage of their 60-day money back guarantee. I honestly can't imagine that after 60 days of use that you wouldn't notice any change.

So if you're a Mommy like me who is tired of looking like she's still preggers, then I would definitely try The Flex Belt for sure! You're gonna LOVE it!

  1. I have come across your blog, while researching The Flex Belt for treatment of diastasis recti. I can not tell you how excited I am to read you too had a diastasis of 2-3 finger widths, as mine is exactly the same. My photo now would look pretty identical to your before photo, which gives me such hope that this is goign to help me. I've tried the Tupler Technique of wrapping my belly with the splint and all exercises reco'd, but to no avail. By the end of the day, I look like I have a 3 month preggo belly. I exercise daily (high intensity cardio and weight training), so I'm fit. It's so frustrating to have that darn pooch when I work so hard. SO, I'll be buying a Flex Belt TODAY, just by seeing your results and knowing it has helped to close your diastasis. Thank you for posting!

I do have a couple quick questions, if you don't mind. How long did you wear the belt each day? Did you follow the specific programs or just wear it at a comfortable intensity for a certain amount of time? What is the width of your diastasis at this time? Curious because I've read that when you have a small diastasis (as in 2-3 finger widths versus 4 or more) its significantly more difficult to close. So wondering how much you have reduced yours in size.

    You look awesome. Congrats!
