Sienna's Locket Children's Book Review and Giveaway

Most of you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but did you know that October is also Dwarfism Awareness Month? I recently was given a book to review titled Sienna's Locket, written by Chrissy Bernal. Chrissy is the mother of the only known set of twins in the world where one twin is a Primordial Dwarf.

Sienna's Locket is a heart warming story about how we are all beautifully and wonderfully made by God. 

Sienna or "Sinny" (written after Chrissy Bernal's daughter) accidentally lets lose her pet bird while cleaning its cage. The bird flies into a small cabinet and Sinny, being the small size that she is, is able to fit into the cabinet to find the bird.

While in the cabinet, Sienna finds a small pink and black ladybug who is sad because she is different from the other ladybugs. Sienna shares that she is also different, and that our differences are what make us special.

Because Sienna is so small, she is able to save the bird, and Rosie the ladybug and her become great friends. 

My daughter absolutely loves this book and your child will too. Also, look for the Sinny-Size Series of children’s books based on Sienna’s adventures.  They take you through colorful adventures where Sienna discovers the great things that come from being different. What a wonderful lesson for our children!
