I’m currently eating gluten free, so when I was staring at the Perdue Harvestland Organic Chicken Drumsticks (Affiliate Link with 15% off) in my freezer, I decided instead of breading, I’d use Parmesan and Romano cheese on the chicken.
I wanted to give the drumsticks some flavor, so I made up a garlic butter sauce to coat them in.
I also used my oven on the convection setting to make the drumsticks crispy like fried chicken.
Many people don’t realize this, but your convection oven (if you have one), works the same way as an air fryer. And in some instances, even better.
So if you like the taste of fried chicken, but don’t want to actually fry it, try this method.

This is what you’ll need:

  • 8-12 Perdue Harvestland Organic Chicken Drumsticks. (Affiliate Link with 15% off)
  • 1 stick of salted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan & Romano cheese (omit these Romano if you just want the Parmesan)
  • 1-2 Tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 2 Teaspoons Paprika
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Select the Convection setting on your oven and set it to 350°F
  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil
  • Pat the drumsticks dry with a paper towel
  • Add the garlic, paprika, salt and pepper to the melted butter and mix in a shallow bowl. Set aside
  • Place the Parmesan and Romano cheese in a shallow bowl next to the garlic butter mixture
  • Coat the drumsticks in the garlic butter mixture first and then coat with the cheese
  • Place on the baking sheet and cook uncovered for one hour (or until juices run clear)
Enjoy!
